Summer 2009 Print

Welcome to the second Heather and Hillforts newsletter. It is a really busy summer for the team with things happening throughout the project area. There are lots of opportunities to get involved whether by visiting us at the Denbigh and Flint Show or taking part in the Walking Week or using the new Caer Drewyn leaflet to explore the hillfort at Corwen on your own.  An exciting archaeological excavation has taken place, giving tantalising glimpses of our ancestors as well as extensive moorland management work to improve the habitat for sheep and for wildlife. Browse through the newsletter for lots of interesting articles.

We have some sad news as well, Michael Griffith, the Chair of our Partnership Board, died very suddenly whilst out walking in Snowdonia. A wonderfully energetic man and such a champion for the Heather and Hillforts project, we will miss his support, enthusiasm and fun enormously.
